DRC Formal Investigation into Web Accessibility Briefing - London

Date: 28 April 2003
Source: UN, 23 April 2003
Submitted by Ann Light

DRC Formal Investigation into Web Accessibility initial meeting will take place at
Level 6 Suite (Room B)
City University
Northampton Square
London EC1V 0HB

from 6.30 to 8.30pm on 28th April.

The Disability Rights Commission has just launched a Formal Investigation into Web site accessibility.

As one of the first steps in the research, we are contacting those involved in web site design who might be interested in the issues surrounding web accessibility. We invite you to come to an initial meeting to brief you about the Investigation and the research we will be undertaking and to elicit your views on designing for the web with accessibility in mind. We are particularly keen to make recommendations to support web developers in designing accessible sites, so we are interested in hearing about the problems you encounter in developing accessible sites and ideas for what kinds of additional support might be useful.

If you would like to participate in the initial briefing meeting and/or be kept informed about progress of the Investigation, send the details below back in an email to: drc-info@soi.city.ac.uk.
