UK UPA calls for Committee Nominations

Source: UN, 13 November 2003
Submitted by Ann Light

The UK UPA committee is inviting nominations for the 2004 committee of the UK UPA. The committee positions are: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Membership, Professional Development, Business Development and Events. You must be a member to stand for a one of these posts.

If you have an idea for an additional post on the committee you would like to fill, you are welcome to suggest it.

In addition, the UPA also invites volunteers to come forward to support the committee in its activities. Volunteers do not need to stand for election, and are formally recognised by the committee. Volunteer posts include outreach (representing UK UPA within your organisation or university), helping at events, and mentoring other members of the UK UPA.

Please contact Giles Colborne for more information (president@ukupa.org.uk).

The AGM itself takes place on 26 November at 6.30pm for 6.45pm start at the Microsoft London offices.

The meeting will review the progress, events and status of the UK UPA over the past year. It will also discuss plans for next year and invite comments and suggestions from the audience.

For details of the meeting, and further UPA events, look at the UN Events section, or check the UK UPA website (details below).
