"How Do You Measure Conversion?" asks what businesses are aiming for online. This short piece takes the idea of 'conversion' and gives it a wide interpretation, one that starts to impact on the work of usability professionals.

'Sometimes we get so focused on the end point, though, we forget there was a journey to achieve that end point. You see, not all your visitors know exactly what they want when they land on your site. On top of that, they are each in different stages of the buying process.'

So, as well as assessing macro (ie visible) conversions like purchasing, explore the micro level activities too. Persuasion by design...
