Reviews sought by Team devising ISO on Web Interfaces

A new standard is being developed by ISO TC159/SC4/WG5 that contains recommendations and guidelines for the user-centred design of web user interfaces: ISO CD 23973 Software ergonomics for World Wide Web user interfaces.

It includes guidelines in the following categories:

- Identifying the purpose
- Content and functionality
- Navigation and interaction
- Presentation and media design

How will an international standard complement existing literature and the recently published National Institutes of Health peer-reviewed research-based guidelines (featured in UN story Usability.gov Quietly releases New Version of Guidelines)?

The draft is ISO copyright, but Nigel Bevan and Simon Raistrick are collecting comments on behalf of the BCS and UKUPA, and can provide copies for the purpose of technical review.
