Media: Design by Fire pits Gurus against Bloggers

Missed the Gurus v. Bloggers match organised by Design by Fire's Andrei Herasimchuk? Yes, that's the same man as brought us the "Open Letter to Jakob Nielsen" (see UN story: Nielsen called to account for using harsh Generalisations). This man knows how to attract attention.

Tongue firmly in cheek, he describes it as the first official Gurus v. Bloggers Design Shootout. It features examples of websites of a few well known web, design, and technology Gurus, along with a few websites of a few well known Bloggers in the design sector.

Gurus are Richard Saul Wurman, Bruce Tognazzi, Peter Merholz, Jakob Nielsen, Edward Tufte, Gerry McGovern, and Donald Norman.

Bloggers are Jeffrey Zeldman, D. Keith Robinson, Andy Budd, Didier Hilhorst, John Gruber, Greg Storey, John Hicks, and Josh Williams.

Mostly fun, there are a few interesting observations on the way about the relative design of the sites and guess who wins...
