Media: OK/Cancel sorts out the Design/Usability Interface

OK/Cancel have done it again. Tom's article, "Stop the Presses! User Experience Owner Found!", while witty and based frivolously upon the turf wars between disciplines, also presents a lovely model of how usability and design should complement each other and why.

As Tom says in answer to one of the comments growing up around the piece: 'I think the main thing about this description is that it is written in engineering language, so technical people will get it... plus it has big pictures with big labels so even marketing can understand!'

The pics are good, but the analysis is even better. I'd add that it makes a superb teaching resource for both design and HCI students as they orientate themselves.
