Media: Nesta Futurelab looks at the Place of Technology in Education

"Technology should be invisible" is an interview with David Buckingham of the Institute of Education and Rose Luckin of the University of Sussex on the Nesta Futuelab site.

'So what can technology offer education? One of the most useful technological developments, says Rose, has been the network, because it can enable teachers and learners to collaborate more effectively: "For me all learning is collaborative learning. Even when you're doing it on your own, it's influenced by social interaction that you have had previously. I think collaboration is key and that technology can enable that collaboration."'

This is a general piece about the value of technology in education and its role as support in the classroom, as opposed to a replacement for it.
