Interaction Designer - South of France

I have an opportunity with a global provider of advanced technologies to the mobile and 'beyond PC' markets. Servicing major operators and handset manufacturers, my client operates in Asia Pacific, North American and Europe. The UX team is a truly global team and they are looking to recruit an interaction designer who will be responsible for understanding user needs, technical telephony specifications and applicable technology, as well as company UX guidelines and conventions to design the user experience for the company’s mobile products. The UX professional partners closely with engineering, product marketing and central UX to qualify design concepts. The interaction designer plays a significant role in developing telephony products.

- You will work with product marketing and engineering to develop the information flow and layout of mobile products following platform conventions and patterns.

- You will be responsible for making the designs usable and useful for novice to advanced mobile phone users. You will develop logical flows, wireframes, storyboards, menu maps, and other documentation and work closely with engineers to implement the designs.

- You will be responsible for developing the usability of the designs: create test plans, build prototypes, conduct the tests and analyze the results.

- You will also work closely with the central UX team to participate in design reviews of yours and other platform elements, and contribute to a growing collection of design patterns, UX guidelines, platform widgets, and system behaviors.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- designing interfaces for mobile products and interpreting handset manufacturer and carrier requirements for user experience
- experience designing usability evaluation protocols and analyzing user data
- experience with network-based software, telephony and wireless technology, and communications application such as instant messaging

English is the corporate language, there will be travel involved with this role (likely to be North America and sometimes Asia maybe once per month). French speaking is a bonus.
