Lead Experience Architect at Map of Medicine - London, UK

Deadline: 18 July 2008
Source: Map of Medicine, 19 June 2008
Submitted by Vanessa Wolfe-Coote

The Map of Medicine is a web-based application that has broken new ground in the healthcare industry. The Map of Medicine team are committed to user-centred design and want to ensure the Map continues to innovate within this challenging sector in order to increase adoption and ultimately improve the health of the world. We are looking for a talented and motivated Lead Experience Architect to join our small, dynamic Innovation & Experience team. You will have considerable experience as a user experience architect (or similar role) including experience leading a small team on user experience projects.

The Lead Experience Architect is responsible for creating positive, engaging, and innovative user experiences for the Map of Medicine product suite and for integrations with other healthcare systems. Drawing on a range of approaches to research, design and testing, they will conceive ideas and produce solutions that meet the needs of our customers and users, and/or demonstrate innovation in product development. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team (from development, implementation, content, clinical, sales & marketing, management, and support), they will drive all elements of user experience design by gathering user requirements, prototyping concepts, creating information architecture and UX deliverables, and producing interaction designs for desktop, web and mobile interfaces.

The Lead Experience Architect will ensure the consistency and coherence of the user experience across different workstreams and applications. They will direct a small team of Experience Architects to deliver across projects within one or more functional areas, and may line manage a team.
