£25,000 - £35,000 incl. Health Insurance, Pension Scheme and Share Options (after a qualifying period), 25 Days’ Holiday

We are a long established usability and accessibility consultancy that helps businesses deliver an excellent experience for people visiting their websites. With clients in the public and private sectors, we work with well-known names including the NHS, Direct.gov, Esure, and William Hill. Due to business expansion, we are now looking to recruit an additional Usability Consultant to join our small, lively team.

We are part of a £5million digital services group employing 50 people, although we operate as a separate specialist usability unit and centre of excellence within the larger company. Our division comprises a small friendly team of 7 committed usability professionals.

To succeed with us you will need to be passionate about usability and keen to expand your horizons. We expect you to have some experience of running usability tests and assessing web accessibility but you’ll receive large amounts of ‘hands-on’ client and project exposure to expand your capabilities rapidly.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING
- A UK-recognised qualification either in HCI or computer science, psychology or a related subject which included an HCI module
- Experience of organising testing sessions, moderating, analysis and report writing
- An good awareness of current web accessibility issues

Additionally, you must have an excellent command of English, the ability to work as part of a team and independently, and be permanently based in the UK.

To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter to new@optimum-web.co.uk. If your skills, experience and keen interest in usability match ours, we’ll get back to you very quickly.
