Senior Interaction Designer - London

Deadline: 10 July 2008
Source: BBC Jobs, 3 July 2008
Submitted by BBC HR Direct

Senior Interaction Designer, London, Ref. 397173

User Experience and Design (UX&D) is part of the BBC’s Future Media and Technology department. When it comes to delivering BBC iPlayer, bbc.co.uk or any of our mobile or interactive services, it’s our job to ensure that our users get the high quality of experience they expect from the BBC.

As a Senior Interaction Designer, you’ll help define the user experience across mobile, web and interactive TV. You’ll design collaboratively with stakeholders and produce solutions that balance user need with business goals. A head for strategy is important; as is a talent for exploiting emerging technology platforms. You’ll also be playing a key role developing skills and methods within an enthusiastic team.

You’ll bring to the role substantial experience of user-centred design approaches and be comfortable representing the user in an agile software development environment. Part of the role will involve the delivery of high quality documentation including flows, wireframes and research but more importantly you’ll be comfortable working collaboratively to define solutions to interaction problems. A degree or equivalent experience in industrial design, product design, psychology or a related field is essential.

Applications to be received by 10 July.

You can apply for this role and learn about how we do things at the BBC, by following the link below. Alternatively, please call 0870 333 1330. Textphone 02890 328 478. Ceefax page 696.
