Working in the User Experience department at Vodafone Global Marketing, as a User Experience (UE) Manager with the team in Düsseldorf, you will help define the User Experience of mobile phones, mobile internet applications, Web and PC based services and applications for our customers.

You will be the UE interface for handset manufacturers, platform vendors and internet players to deliver a best-in-class user experience, making this a key role within team. The role of User Experience (UE) Manager will be a key position within the User Experience Team.

UE MANAGER MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES
• Working with stakeholders in a broad range of areas (Telephony, Web, Music, Mobile Messaging, Mobile TV) to define the User Experience for mobile phones, rich mobile phone applications, mobile portal, websites and PC applications
• Evaluating UI concepts, assessing design alternatives and recommending optimal UE solutions
• Evaluating the performance of conceptual designs based on Group UE KPIs
• Leading the UI implementation of Vodafone and partner services
• Liaising with the Senior Visual Designer and the Global Brand department to ensure delivery of terminal and platform UI according to brand and visual guidelines
• Working closely with the global terminals, Marketing and Technology teams to guide them through User Experience design for their projects

UE MANAGER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS WILL IDEALLY INCLUDE
• University degree (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to user interface design and usability (eg Human-Computer Interaction, Design Management, Product Design)
• Technology: sufficient understanding to allow an undaunted and informed assessment of the impact on User Experience design
• Proven experience in a commercial product or service development environment
• Experience in applying human-centred design techniques (especially obtaining and acting on customer feedback and research) and designing user interfaces
• A demonstrable track record of strong and consistent user focus, unfailingly putting the user and their needs ahead of features and technology
• Superb ideation skills, with a proven ability to drive effective delivery in cross-functional projects in a fast-moving, high-technology environment working with both internal and external resources
• English language skills to business level
• Experience in mobile telecoms or related businesses (in particular terminal manufacturers or platform vendors) a plus
