Usability Expert - UI/UX - South East UK

Ideal skills: UX/UI design, usability research, junior project management, UI design lab experience.

The Usability Expert provides expert advice to UI Designers on usability issues during feature design and development, but is not responsible for executing all evaluations by him/herself. Other tasks will include performing usability support activities during feature design and development. The work focuses mainly on software UI usability

Visible Activities:
* Identify evaluation needs and methods and estimate work amounts
* Ensure that the needed usability work is done for each feature
* Create req/feature usability plan together with designers
* Provide objective usability support by helping designers to plan, arrange, moderate, and analyze usability evaluations
* Responsible for making an agreement when outsourcing usability evaluations/test user recruitment.
* Responsible for usability lab facilities and equipment
* Benchmark studies.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Strong background in statistical methods, experimental design, and psychology.
* Presentation skills
* Detailed knowledge of human-computer interface, UI/UX design principles and guidelines.
* Statistical analysis methods, cognitive science, behavioural testing methods.
