User Experience Internship Opportunity – London

Help create new best practices in mobile advertising.

A new mobile start-up is kicking-off its development phase and requires a User Experience intern to work with an experienced team to develop the blueprints for a best-in-class web site and customer experience. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a group of exceptional and talented individuals, ex- Senior Directors from one of the world’s leading mobile services companies. Our goal is to create a world-class and successful web-based self-service environment, fully embracing web 2.0 concepts, adopting a truly customer-centric mindset.

We are seeking a User Experience intern to help take us to the next level, where innovative design will drive new experiences and journeys that are intuitive, simple and easy-to-use. We cannot give too much information away at this moment as we are in stealth mode, but we promise that this will be interesting, challenging and rewarding.

SKILLS
- Excellent grasp of HCI principles and user interface standards and guidelines
- Demonstrable skills in creating user experience documentation such as page flows, designs and wireframes using Visio or a similar tool
- Experience using Photoshop to create interface designs and mockups for web
- Strong written and verbal English skills and a proven ability to successfully communicate ideas and opinions
- This is start-up so the person will need to be self-directed and able to manage time effectively

DELIVERABLES
- Web site home page design
- Category home page wireframes
- Sitemap
- Key customer journeys based on our use cases
- Style guide

DURATION
The project will take approximately 4–6 weeks commencing as soon as possible. Depending on the candidate’s current situation, there may be scope for the project to extend beyond 6 weeks.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
We will cover costs including travel, food and any other reasonable cost necessary to produce the high quality deliverables. More importantly, we will provide excellent references for the right candidate after the project has come to an end.
