Exciting role in an outstanding media company. My client is seeking an experienced UED manager to lead a team of 5 IAs and visual designers. My client provides musical content across web, audio and video to 15million customers.
The successful applicant will work alongside talented UEDs, visual designers, web developers and product managers to translate user and business requirements into a fluid, fit for purpose user experience. As well as creating websites and digital applications through the stages of research, scoping, testing, design, build and deployment, the post holder will be responsible for clearly communicating the benefits of the user centred design (UCD) process to groups across the business. Abilities must be backed with proven industry experience and success ideally in commercial and media sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is interaction design; applying a UCD process to create high quality user experiences for the portfolio of websites and internal systems. Concept development, design, and testing of user interfaces based on business, user, and brand needs. Work closely within an Agile environment alongside graphic designers, developers and product managers, as well as outsourced design contracts (as required), to ensure that a UCD process is adhered to. Ensure that concepts conform to web standards and follow industry best practice (eg. accessibility, usability, SEO, cross browser support). Effectively communicate complex user experience concepts and challenges to teams from around the business, in order to progress work using appropriate UCD techniques. Able to advise and inform decisions on product delivery and release as related to user priorities.
