As an Achilles Group Product Manager for an internal platform product, you will be responsible for the business product development with the aim of getting the maximum profitability from the sales point of view.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Define Product strategy & Sales strategy including global market prioritisation, product/service naming, branding, positioning and training.
2. Be an evangelist across the company for the platform. Roll-out product to all priority markets including all localisation
3. Serve as an internal troubleshooting resource for the internal platform for users across the globe (as a marketeer)
4. Provide and maintain the roadmap, co-ordinating input from all stakeholders and translating needs between business and technical staff to enable a common understanding and environment where agreed decisions can be made. You will feed into the roadmap process your analysis of competitor platforms in related web services and other identified best practice,
5. Research new product opportunities and identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features on an ongoing basis
6. Define, track and improve key product metrics (both user experience, hardware and SLA) and develop tests against those metrics
7. Ensure product and usability standards are met and exceeded
8. Promote use of the standard framework and best practices for the products as a means for Achilles as a group to differentiate itself in the world market
9. Responsible for managing communication internally across the company(includes Internal Platform product Wiki, Forum, Blog and Demonstration sites)
10. Preparing presentations and collateral material for use by the external sales team where they require platform sales material
Essential Skills

Business skills within a procurement environment and commercial acumen
Product management including marketing
Technologist experience with Agile development, prototyping, web development
International experience of product delivery
Well developed inter-personal skills and confidence in dealing with people at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a large amount of detail
Adaptable to working as a member of multiple teams concurrently
Comfortable in considering issues ranging from short term to blue sky thinking
Desirable Skills

Have worked with Web delivery and User centred design
Exposure to Relational database software
Knowledge of general software engineering processes
Hands on web page design, CSS
A second language ( Spanish, German or Eastern European)
