CfParticipants: Music and Personality Internet Experiment

Deadline: 30 November 2008
Source: Greg Dunn, Principal Investigator, 16 October 2008
Submitted by Greg Dunn

A student research project based at the Technical University of Eindhoven and affiliated with Philips Research, Eindhoven, in the Netherlands, seeks participants for an online experiment which investigates the relation between music and personality.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
The experiment requires you to complete a personality inventory online, as well as listen to various music clips and provide answers to questions regarding your opinion about these clips. The experiment takes approximately 90 minutes to complete, but this can be done in sessions at your own convenience; once you've registered, it will save your progress with every page, so you can log out and continue where you left when you log back in. The experiment is available in both English and Dutch. For the English experiment, any person who can speak reasonably good English, is over 18 years of age, and does not use artificial hearing devices can participate. Fluent speakers of either Dutch or Flemish (inhabitants of Belgium or the Netherlands) can participate using the Dutch experimental interface.

As a reward for participation, you will be provided with a detailed, professional-quality, personality report, as well as an opportunity to provide your email address and so receive a report of the results of the study once it is finished. The study concludes at the end of November.
