Review: Book Reviews at Washington's Cyberculture Studies Resource

Source: UN, 16 August 2002
Submitted by Ann Light

It's summer and people are choosing their holiday reading. If you want something a little thought-provoking, it may be worth visiting this site which boasts now reviews of at least 130 books on cyberculture, the internet and technoculture.

Each month, the Resource Center for Cyberculture Studies at the University of Washington publishes two or three full-length book reviews of books, some of which are new; others, modern classics. Described as a 'modest attempt to locate critically various contours of the emerging and interdisciplinary field of cyberculture studies', the reviews vary in scope and relevance to our market. However, as a resource the collection is informative and impressive and many reviews also have a response from the author. If you fancy something theoretical to read over summer, you will find plenty to choose between here. Alternatively, browsing the reviews is like a crash course on what other people are thinking.

Of course, you can also always submit your own review...
