Media: IBM takes on Design for People's Lives

Panu Korhonen, Usability Group Lead at Nokia and Nathan Shedroff, Experience Strategist at Experience Design share their thoughts on "Designing for People's Lives'.

By looking at the way people use products, and then giving them an interface that behaves with human qualities, they argue, you can design a product that fits seamlessly into their lifestyles. They suggest that we interact with mobile devices in a more intimate way than we ever could with early PCs.

'By approaching design with experiences, context, and the "character" of the interface in mind, you can reach both the senses and the "heart" of the user. You will not only design a product for a task; you will design a product that responds to and influences the way people live.'
