UK UPA Line-Up goes Live for New Year

Source: UN, 31 December 2002
Submitted by Ann Light

The new line-up of UK chapter UPA officers take over their responsibilities on 1 January 2003 for the year. They were elected unopposed at the UK UPA AGM on 12th November 2002. The full list can be found below.

Chapter priorities this year are to develop the website, especially to support members outside London who cannot easily attend meetings, and to widen the variety of formats for the monthly meetings. Joint events co-ordinator Martin Maguire said 'Both Lisa and I are interested to hear from the membership if there are any topics or formats that they would like us to organise.'

The presence of non-members at meetings was discussed at the AGM and it was agreed that it was acceptable for non-members to attend the occasional meeting; but they should not be given the same access as members.

The annual financial report revealed that, though for most of the year the account was in credit to the tune of approximately sixty pence, a successful collaboration with HCI2002 in the form of the EUPA conference improved financial standing and means that any financial liabilities can be comfortably met.
