Brief: Air France improves Usability of UK site

Source: Revolution, 5 February 2003
Submitted by Ann Light

Revolution reports that the AirFrance.com site has been redesigned in-house and incorporates a new booking engine that displays fares by price, with the lowest available fare first. Now customers can select their preferred flight from several trip recommendations suggested by the system. When customers have made their flight reservation, they can enter their booking reference to access the "check my trip" section. This displays their flight details and offers practical information on their trip such as a five-day weather forecast and destination guide.

Revolution reports Anne Veyssie, Air France commercial director for Great Britain and Ireland, as saying: "The internet has become an important element of Air France's distribution strategy as more customers choose to book their travel online. We have made the site more user-friendly and included new features to enhance the online booking experience."
